WITH A VISION TO CREATe
A TIMELESS CLASSIC

”No fillers, all killers” could have been the mantra when it came to recording the collection of songs for TINSELTOWN THE MUSICAL. With the story already conceived, together with longtime friends and collaborators, songwriter Jörgen Elofsson and songwriter and co-producer Kalle Engström, Andreas worked on the music on and off for over a decade. No corners were cut in the creation of these songs, in fact, in many instances, many of them where recorded multiple times with several different bands, just to get it right.

The revolving doors of of top studios like Capitol Records in Los Angeles and the Power Station in New York, greeted familiar faces of session legends and Grammy Winners such as Bill Champlin of Chicago, Jay Graydon, Greg Phillinganes, Paul Jackson Jr, Matt Rollings and horn arranger Jerry Hey - best known for his work with Michael Jackson.

Thirty piece string orchestras were recorded in Stockholm, Sweden, and in Prague, Czech Republic; while gospel choirs, made up of the most sought after singers in the U.S., elevated several of the songs to new heights. The result is a collection of timeless music, that despite contemporary musical trends have the potential to stand the test of time.

When it came to working on the score for TINSELTOWN THE MUSICAL, Andreas' choice naturally fell on composer and arranger, Jonah Nilsson the mastermind behind the trio, Dirty Loops. Previously signed as an artist by both David Foster and Quincy Jones, Jonah accepted the challenge and went to work. Seamlessly interwoven in Andreas’ songs, Jonah’s classical pieces sometimes take you back to the golden era of animated filmmaking.

TINSELTOWN THE MUSICAL is Jonah’s first movie score.
